From its earliest inception in America, Ethical Humanism has endorsed the belief that self-reform should go in lock step with social reform. To this aim the Ethical Society Mid Rivers (ESMR) holds space for creation, artistic expression, movement, joy and community. Check out some of our classes and groups:
YOGA WITH ERIN
HALT THE HUSSLE
We generally hold yoga class every 2nd and 4th Saturday, but the schedule is subject to variation. Please check the ESMR weekly email for the most up-to-date information. All levels are welcome. Class focusses on integrating the body and mind through gentle movement and breath work. Yoga props are utilized for variations and support.

About our amazing yoga instructor, Erin Vehige: Erin Vehige has been teaching yoga since 2014 and specializes in Yoga for All Slow Flow, Restorative Yoga, and Meditation. Erin is also a certified Holy Fire Reiki Master. Her yoga classes are designed for all levels to create an atmosphere of non-judgmental exploration of the body, mind, and spirit through movement, and maybe a little humor.
It is Erin’s goal to create an environment that is welcoming and will ease people into a better mind/body connection through movements and stories that resonate with everyday lives. Her classes include options and variations along the way. She will challenge you to move to your edge with the grace and kindness your body deserves.

D.R.I.F.T.E.R.S. Group discussion
Deconstructing Religious Indoctrination: Faith, Trauma, Ethical Recovery, and Support
Explore options for treatment, reconnect with a community (and yourself), and find support from others who understand. Book Club
MONTHLY EVENT
The ESMR Book Club is our oldest club. Members sign up to participate, but It is always open to new participants. Members are welcome to attend when the monthly book intrigues them, or sit out if desired. It's a very informal book club. The books are chosen for the year at an annual meeting, are as varied as the attendees. The club meets monthly on the 3rd Wednesday. Open Jazz Jam
BI-MONTHLY EVENT
Bop bitty bop bitty bop, bam! About every 2 months, on the 3rd Saturday we invite a line-up of excellent musicians to lead our ESMR Open Jazz Jam. Art Class with Sarah Ann

Sarah Ann is an artist and teacher that loves sharing joy, kindness and color. We are delighted she occasionally hosts her watercolor workshop at ESMR that combines all of these things. This class is a laidback and fun event. No art experience is necessary. Classes will be posted in the ESMR weekly email. $25 suggested donation to attend the class. |
Group Discussion with Amy Miller
INTERMITTENT EVENT
Amy Miller is a life and relationship coach and owner of Roots and Keys Coaching LLC. She served as the interim leader at the Ethical Society of St. Louis for two years. Amy hosts group discussions on some Saturdays at ESMR. There is no fee for this, but she does accept "love offerings" from anyone who chooses to attend and compensate her for her time and her skill. All are welcome, whether you attended previously or not. Discussion time and topic will be posted in the ESMR weekly email. |
